Notes, Announcements & Reflections

Hello!

I scanned the snow for a fox on the way home from my nephew's birthday party late Sunday afternoon.  I'm trying to take the perfect shot for a photography contest. The submission deadline is February 20 so I'm getting a little worried.  I thought a red fox against the white snow would be perfect.  I have no expectations of winning this contest (though I did recently win a photo contest) but I'd like to give it my best effort. There were no signs of a fox so I thought I was going home empty handed.  And then we came to the end of the Brown Road in Carroll and saw the sky over Mt. Katahdin. Gorgeous!  Definitely picture worthy.

A peregrine falcon has been seen hunting in Pickering Square in downtown Bangor. The Bangor Daily News carried the story yesterday.

Sincerely,
