Robin's Thoughts and Rambles Hello! Let's start off with a note to SY. Your report is on my laptop. The laptop is in repair thanks to an update issue that wiped out the OS. When the laptop is returned to me it should have your report. I'll update MNN to include your report as soon as possible. I apologize! I've been in touch with RRR to explain the situation. Cross your fingers that the email on the hard drive could be saved. As I was driving into Princeton yesterday a gaggle of Canada geese were lifting off the St. Croix flowage. They eventually passed me so I sped up. I stayed under them for almost a mile. They sustained a speed of 42 mph. I could hear them encouraging the lead goose on with their honks through the open sunroof. It was fantastic! The deer have discovered the pumpkins at the back of my garden. Early this morning, while I drank coffee in the house, they dined on green pumpkins and broccoli for breakfast. They didn't touch the ripe pumpkins. Sincerely, Robin Follette Editor/Publisher |

![]() Haven't seen the sun lately! I noticed some rime ice on the summit of Saddleback this morning. It's the first I've noticed this season. The geese are on the move, I hear the faint honking of them high above . The recent week's rain and wind has done a number on the leaves up here and there is still plenty to go, but we are at peak. Sparrows are now stopping by. And I set out a trail camera on a nearby apple tree, The deer have been paying late night visits. KB Sunday, October 5 Biddeford (Map 4) Still mosquitoes around. Dumped a drop or two of cutting fluid in the water pooled up in the tarps outside the store. Hundreds of "wigglers" stopped wriggling in a short while. JB ![]() Monday, October 6

My veggie garden was pretty poor this year, except that the acorn squash did pretty good. It's fortunate that raccoons don't particularly like them, as my squash are all still there. I know that the 'coons checked them out, because most of my squash had clues that they did. FG |
